Story on Fire Day 8

Know Where You’re Going

Congratulations…you’re half way there!

Story on Fire Day 7

Making it PERSONAL

It has come to my attention that even if you “like” the Faith and Wonder Facebook page, it will not necessarily come up in your newsfeed. If you are interested in actually seeing the FB posts, please click on the “Like” button and choose “Get Notifications” and/or “Add to interests”. Hopefully that will get you more connected. Interacting with the posts should also be helpful. Thanks so much!

Story on Fire Day 6

No GUTS, no glory!

Check out the Network of Biblical Storytellers and come to the Festival Gathering in August!

Story on Fire: Day 5

Once more, with feeling!

Story on Fire: Day 4

Don’t forget to share what you’re discovering!

Story on Fire: Day 3

Keep it UP!

Tomorrow we’ll take a day off for the holiday–a great chance to catch up if you’ve started late! Please be sure to comment on Facebook or Twitter…your participation in the discussion will deepen everyone’s experience. What are you finding? What is most exciting to you about the prospect of storytelling? Do you have any concerns? I am always glad to provide support along the way!

Map It

The way I read the story, the narrator is clearly amazed that all these people from all these places are gathered together. For an idea of how far they’d come, check out this MAP.

Story on Fire: Day TWO

And remember to share what you notice on Facebook and Twitter #storyonfire !!!

Setting the Story on FIRE: a 14 day challenge

Over the next two weeks, Faith and Wonder will offer a step-by-step tutorial series on learning Acts 2 for Pentecost. The best way to keep up will be via Facebook or Twitter! On Twitter, @FaithandWonder and use the hashtag #storyonfire to share your thoughts along the way. Normally two weeks is not enough time to let a text deepen in the way that it deserves, but for the sake of practice we’ll give it a try. Whether your goal is to tell the story at home, to a friend, or in worship–join us!!! Story-learning in groups can be quite a powerful tool.

For families/teachers wanting to learn the text with children, I would recommend trying to learn only Acts 2:1-4.

Day ONE Video

I have given you some wiggling room for the next few days since it is the holiday weekend–do as much over Memorial Day weekend as you are able, but don’t worry if you fall a day or two behind!

Print this out: Acts 2 NRSV and read it aloud!

And here is a video with pronunciation help!

You can also look up the pronunciations at this site:  http://netministries.org/Bbasics/bwords.htm
